Heritage Mountain Community Church is a church located on Heritage Mountain in Port Moody. We are a friendly place where you and your family can connect with other Port Moody families and explore your faith. We meet on Sunday mornings, and in smaller home groups throughout the week. Our church is really about community and relationships. We welcome you, wherever you are on your spiritual journey to come and learn what it means to follow Jesus with us.

Where God is leading us in the future
Imagine a collection of surrendered and transformed people who love God and others. They are captivated by the idea that this is not about us, but all about Jesus. They are mesmerized by His story and His heart for their community. They are sowers of hope, risk takers, grace-givers, young and old. They link arms with others who tell the true story of Jesus. They make disciples of their friends and families, care for the poor, the sick, and the elderly, strengthen the weak, embrace the broken and seek the lost. Their community will change because God has sent them.

- A Praying, Surrendered People. We are humbly in need of God.
- A Welcoming People. We love others as Christ loved us, sacrificially, graciously and with great joy.
- A Disciple Making People. We engage in community to grow in our relationship with Jesus together, learning of the infinite love of God and discovering the gifts and talents He has given us to give away. With those gifts we make disciples, empower leaders and hold each other accountable in love addressing the brokenness and heartbreak of our friends and community.

Foundational Values (Vertical Values - How we relate to God)
- Biblical Truth - We value sound teaching founded on the scriptures that directs our lives and shapes our values.
- Knowing God - We value an intimate, reconciled relationship with our Heavenly Father who has loved us unconditionally and replaced our guilt and shame with joy and peace.
- Christ as Centre - We value Christ as our Centre (Lord, Saviour and Friend) because without surrender to him and his saving work, we cannot have true fellowship with God or each other.
- Reliance on the Holy Spirit - We value reliance on the Holy Spirit because the power to live the Christian life and follow Jesus comes from Him.
- Passionate Worship - We value worship as a lifestyle where we experience God’s nearness, enjoy and wrestle with His presence and offer Him not only our music but our lives.
Ministry Values (Horizontal Values - How we relate to each other and do ministry together)
- Authenticity - We value living without facades and pretense because intimacy and connection are impossible if we wear masks.
- Clear Vision - We value clear vision, organization and communication. Without it we can easily loose our unity and sense of team.
- Discipleship - We value the discipling and equipping of all believers so they reach their full potential as God calls them by His Spirit. This means we recognize gift based ministry and leadership styles that encourage, facilitate and empower both individuals and teams.
- People - We value loving and enjoying people just as Jesus did. Life transformation takes place through authentic, accepting, forgiving relationships that are marked by truth and accountability. Therefore everything we do will be from a relational centre.
- Presence - We recognize that we may be the only “Jesus” people in our neighbourhood ever experience. Therefore we will not hide but engage them as Jesus would with love, acceptance and the gospel.
